Intro to Breast Cancer Part 1: Early-Stage Breast Cancer

In this session we cover the basics of early-stage breast cancer including, what it is, how it’s diagnosed, and the different treatment options that may be recommended. This webinar is designed to help you feel more informed and confident as you navigate your diagnosis.

Who it’s for: People newly diagnosed with stage 0 to III breast cancer

Expert Speaker: Dr. Roochi Arora is a medical oncologist at Humber River Hospital with specialized expertise in breast cancer. She completed her residency and oncology training at McMaster University, where she also earned a Master’s degree in Health Science Education.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Arora is passionate about patient and family-centered communication. She is the author of Mommy Gets Cancer, a children’s book designed to help families talk about a parent’s cancer diagnosis and is currently working on her second book in the series. Balancing her professional and creative work, she is also a proud mom to a toddler and two energetic dogs.
