Online Support

Connecting with others online can be a helpful way to get support, especially if in-person groups are not an option. Many online communities offer safe spaces to share, ask questions, and connect with people who understand what you’re going through.

General Support Groups
  • Canadian Breast Cancer Patient Network | Facebook
    Created by the Canadian Breast Cancer Network (CBCN), this online group is a safe space for people who are currently going through breast cancer or have had it in the past. Members are encouraged to share their stories, support one another, and help shape CBCN’s resources and direction.
     
  • CancerConnection.ca | Canadian Cancer Society
    CancerConnection.ca is a free online community from the Canadian Cancer Society. It’s open to adults with cancer, survivors, caregivers, and loved ones. Members share experiences, ask questions, and connect with others who understand what you are going through. Topics include treatment side effects, caregiver self-care, advanced cancer, emotional support, and finding resources like financial aid and home care.
     
  • Rethink Breast Cancer | Support Programs
    Rethink Breast Cancer offers several support programs. These include a private Facebook Group, virtual support groups, in-person events and peer mentoring.
     
  • Wellspring Breast Cancer Support Group
    Wellspring offers a professionally led support group for people with breast cancer. This group provides a safe and supportive environment to discuss the challenges of living with breast cancer, share experiences, and connect with others facing similar journeys. Sessions are facilitated by experienced professionals and are available online to ensure accessibility.

  • TNBC Sisters of Canada | Facebook
    A community for people in Canada affected by triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). This group offers support, shared experiences, and helpful information.
BIPOC
  • Olive Branch of Hope
    Provides a friendly and safe environment for individuals to share their experiences, build a support system, and learn leaning and coping strategies during and after a cancer diagnosis to develop culturally relevant support programs for women of African ancestry facing breast cancer.
     
  • The Oladele Foundation
    Is a Non-Governmental Organization that focuses on helping African/Black cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and others going through chronic sicknesses and challenges of life.
     
  • African, Caribbean, & Black Wellness Resource Centre Cancer While Black Docuseries Cancer While Black is a documentary that sheds light on the unique challenges faced by Black individuals navigating the healthcare system.
  • Wellspring Indigenous Cancer Sharing Circle
    A monthly gathering for Indigenous adults living with cancer and caregivers.
